Crew arrives, walks the house with you
Before anything is lifted. Fragile items flagged, parking confirmed, route out agreed.
Protection goes down
Floor runners, door jamb guards, blankets on banisters. This is the fifteen minutes that prevents most damage.
Load, heaviest first
Furniture blanket-wrapped in the room, not in the van. Boxes by room label so unloading is not a puzzle.
Transit
You get the driver's number. If there is a delay you hear it from us before you have to ask.
Unload to room, not to hallway
Boxes go where the label says. Furniture is placed, not dumped, and reassembled if we took it apart.
Final walk-through and sign-off
Together, before the crew leaves. Anything damaged is recorded then rather than disputed later.
What happens when something breaks.
Everybody worries about this and almost nobody in this trade addresses it before taking a deposit. The numbers are here rather than in a terms document you receive afterwards.
Damage gets recorded at the final walk-through, with you present. Finding it a week later is how disputes start, so we look together before the crew leaves.

Why do you insist on a survey?+
Because a quote given over the phone is a guess, and guesses get corrected on moving day when you have a van in the drive and no leverage. A twenty-minute video survey is enough for most homes, and the price after it is fixed.
What happens if something breaks?+
The cover, the excess and the claim window are all published on this page before you book. Standard cover is included; full replacement value is available and priced per hundred declared. Damage is recorded at the final walk-through rather than argued about afterwards.
Hourly or fixed price?+
Both are published above with what each suits and where each falls down. Hourly is usually cheaper for small local moves with easy access; fixed is safer for anything with stairs, distance or a completion deadline. We will tell you which is cheaper for your move even when it is the wrong answer for us.
Do you dismantle furniture?+
Yes, and reassemble at the other end. Beds, wardrobes and tables are standard. Anything requiring a specialist — pianos, safes, certain flat-pack that will not survive a second build — is flagged at the survey.
What if my completion is delayed?+
It happens on roughly one move in six. We hold the load in the van until close of day at no charge, and overnight storage is charged at a published daily rate rather than an emergency one.
