Domestic & commercial cleaning

Everything on the list. Every visit.

The same cleaner each time, a published checklist that does not get shortened when the clock runs out, and a fixed price that does not move after the first visit.

The actual list

Room by room, not general clean.

“General clean” is what a company writes when it wants room to skip things. This is what gets done, and the deep column is what gets added on a one-off or an annual reset.

Every visit

  • Worktops, splashback and sink
  • Hob, extractor front and oven door
  • Cupboard fronts and handles
  • Floor washed, not just mopped
  • Bins emptied and wiped

Deep clean adds

  • Inside the oven
  • Inside the fridge
  • Behind and under appliances
  • Descale kettle and taps
Pricing

All three rates, side by side.

Based on a three-bedroom house. Larger homes are surveyed and quoted, and the number you are given after that survey is the number you pay.

Weekly

Best rate

$78per visit

The lowest per-visit rate. Same cleaner, same day, same checklist.

Fortnightly

$92per visit

Most common plan. Slightly longer visit to cover the extra week.

One-off

$135per visit

No commitment. Costs more because the first clean of any house always takes longest.

The one-off rate is higher and it is worth saying why rather than letting it look like a penalty. The first clean of any house takes the longest, because nothing has been kept on top of. Every visit after that is maintenance, which is faster — and that saving is what the recurring rate passes back.

The promise that matters

The same person, every time.

A rotating cleaner means explaining your house every fortnight, and it is why most people eventually give up on agencies. Your cleaner is assigned once and stays assigned.

When illness or holiday makes that impossible you will hear from us before the day, not find somebody unfamiliar at the door — and whoever covers arrives with your checklist and your notes already in hand.

Keys

Handing over a key is the real decision.

Everything else on this page is about cleaning. This is the part people actually hesitate over, so it gets a section rather than a clause in the terms.

If you would rather not, that is entirely normal. Plenty of clients are home, or use a keysafe, and none of it changes the price.

01

Numbered, never addressed

Keys are tagged with a number only. Nothing linking a key to an address is held in the same place.

02

Signed out daily

Collected at the start of the round and returned the same day. Nothing goes home with anybody.

03

Returned on request, same week

Stopping the service or just changing your mind — you get the key back within the week, in person.

04

Insured either way

Public liability covers key loss and lock replacement. The certificate number is on every invoice.

What we bring

Products included, and swappable.

What we bring

Everything. Cloths, machine, products and consumables are included in the price rather than charged as extras.

Fragrance-free by default

Ask and we switch to unscented on the whole visit, including the floor. No surcharge for it.

Colour-coded cloths

Separate cloths for bathroom, kitchen and general. They are laundered between houses, never rinsed and reused.

Your products if you prefer

Leave them out with a note and we will use them. Common with allergies, stone worktops and new appliances.

Where we clean

Six areas, tight rounds.

Deliberately small. A tight round is how the same cleaner reaches you on the same day every week without traffic deciding otherwise.

What clients say

Mostly about continuity.

Same person for two years. She knows which cupboard the cloths live in and I have never once had to explain anything.

H. Ravensworth

Weekly, Elmsleigh

The checklist is the reason I switched. The last company just said general clean and skipped whatever ran over.

T. Mbeki

Fortnightly, Beckwith

Told me a fortnightly would do rather than selling me the weekly I asked for.

Fortnightly, Alderney

Questions

Asked before the first visit.

Will I get the same cleaner?+

Yes, on recurring plans. Where illness or holiday makes that impossible you will be told in advance rather than finding a stranger at the door, and whoever covers gets your checklist and your notes.

What exactly is included?+

The room-by-room checklist on this page is the whole thing. Anything not on it can be added and priced. Nothing on it gets skipped because time ran short — if a visit needs longer, that is our problem rather than yours.

Do I need to be home?+

No, and most clients are not. Keys are held under a numbered system with no address attached, and the key policy on this page sets out exactly how that works.

What if something gets damaged?+

Public liability cover, and the certificate number is printed on every invoice rather than produced on request. Breakages get reported to you the same day, including the ones you would never have noticed.

Can I skip a week?+

Yes, with 48 hours notice and no charge. Skipping repeatedly moves you to the fortnightly rate, which is usually the honest plan anyway.
